The Forest

Currently in Steam Early Access, this open world survival horror game strands you on a remote forested island with some decidedly unfriendly inhabitants. We have been working with developers Endnight Games and the talented sound designers at Kpow Audio to implement a detailed naturalistic soundscape in the Unity game engine. Applying our FMOD expertise, this work builds on the default FMOD Unity integration with custom extensions including new components for dynamic “wind in trees” SFX, spline emitters and irregularly shaped area emitters.

Space Folding

Created by artist Zina Kaye, Space Folding is a mesmerising light sculpture that is driven by airline flight data. We worked with Zina, her agency Holly and award-winning composer Peret von Sturmer to implement a generative soundtrack for the installation at Vivid Sydney 2015. Built in Max/MSP, the soundtrack responds to the behaviour of the light sculpture, creating a holistic experience that entrances the eyes and ears. This work won Best Sound for Interactive Media at the 2015 Australian Screen Sound Guild Awards.
